International Support – Kenya

Women of Faith Foundation UK, in partnership with Women of Faith Foundation Kenya have been able to reach out to hundreds of less privileged individuals with various empowerment programs and donations.

Since 2019, we have officially commenced community support initiatives in Kenya through the Women of Faith Foundation Kenya. Our projects have reached thousands of vulnerable individuals and underprivileged families through numerous impactful programs.

Many women have benefited from our skills development projects, including sewing, bead making, soap production, trading, and farming. Participants received both theoretical and practical training, gaining valuable knowledge that enabled them to start their own businesses with the help of our Business Start-Up Grants awarded to village women.

A few years later, we launched a Crop Farming Project in Butere, Kakamega County, where we sponsored local women to clear land and cultivate maize and beans for both family consumption and sale to generate income.

In 2024, we expanded our efforts by starting another project in Inaya, Kwisero, and Lunza (Kenya) — a Dairy Farming Project supporting low-income households to establish cow-based businesses. The dairy initiative provides a more sustainable source of livelihood. Each cow enables beneficiaries to:

Produce milk and cheese for family use.
Sell milk and cheese to generate income.
Use cow manure as fertilizer for small-scale farming.

One year later, we received the exciting news that some of the cows had already given birth to calves — helping to expand the business further.

We are truly delighted with the progress and the positive impact these initiatives continue to have on struggling families in Kakamega County.

Enterprise Sessions: Participants attend Online Enterprise Sessions to learn about business start-up tips, mentorship and learn to write business plan.
